Speaker boxes for Suzuki Samurai.
These rear mount speaker PODs are a MUST HAVE for any serious offroader!!! Nothing helps your Samurai perform better on or offroad than your favorite music cranking clear and loud!
OK. Maybe they won't help your Samurai perform better. If you love your music though, then these speakers are a "must have".
Located just beneath the main roll bar, they throw crisp clear sound toward the driver and passenger. They sound great with the doors on and the combat road noise with the doors off. They make use of wasted space and are contoured to fit up against the roll bar and body. Once installed, you'll probably forget the pods are there... until you turn the radio on of course!
Constructed of 1/8" plastic, the units can withstand years of abuse. Mod-Pods have pre-cut holes to accept 5 1/4" speakers, though many 6 1/2" speakers can also fit. If you wish to use 6 1/2" speakers, you can buy the empty pods and take one with you when choosing a pair of 6 1/2" speakers to make sure they'll fit. You'll probably have to make the pre-cut holes a little larger, just make sure the depth of the speakers won't hit the back of the pod and check to see if the particular 6 1/2" grille that comes with the speakers will fit nicely on the face of the pod, since they vary in size.
Purchase these kits empty, or with Power Acoustik coaxial 5.25" speakers. These coaxial speakers feature an injection molded cone and Superior Dome tweeter. The are rated at 90 watts RMS and have a range of 65Hz to 20 KHz to withstand the elements and provide rich, clear midrange and bass. The dome tweeter produces crystal clear highs. They can handle 90 watts of continuous power. Very nice! They also employ an attractive grille so a wayward shoe or cargo won't damage the speakers. The speaker Pods are secured with two self-drill hex-head screws per pod. They have a wire lead hole so the speaker wires easily conceal beneath the carpet as they are run up to the radio, or in wiring loom along the side.
Directions and hardware included.

The STEALTH woofer. *If it's not there, they cant steal it!*
The Stealth's smaller size leaves much of your cargo space intact and the portability is great for times when all cargo space is needed! The Stealth-Pod lives up to its name, the 10" subwoofer is unseen by passers-by. The Stealth-Pod has Fiber-Fill inside and produces truly remarkable sound; the subwoofer fires downward on an angle, maximizing bass output and providing the low-end audio void your Suzuki's probably missing. The speaker is protected from view, damaging cargo, and the elements. Talk about versatility, at the base of the pod are little rubber feet so you can take it indoors, put it on the floor, and use it in your home stereo system!
The Stealth should be powered by a 2-channel bridgeable amplifier. Install your amplifier in a secure, unseen place, such as under one of the seats, and run the speaker wires under the carpet and up to the pod, into the special plug. (Just leave about a foot of slack in the wire so you can open the tailgate with the pod suspended on the gate.) When you want to remove the pod from your Zuk, just open the tailgate, pull the speaker wire plug (it pops right out of the spring-loaded terminal), then lift the pod off the custom hangers by its handle. At this point the electrical connection is no longer made- your amplifier is still 'on' but is sitting idle and the rest of your existing audio system works as it always did. No need to unplug or turn off the amplifier, just unplug the Stealth-Pod, that's it! The tiny 1" hangers installed on the tailgate are all that remain.
Installation is quick and easy with instructions. The Stealth's two receiving hangers and rubber bumper are pre-installed on the pod, so you only need to drill some small holes in your tailgate and mount the two male ends of the hangers. Each hanger has a base that uses four small screws.
The Stealth is a .70 cu/ft. sealed enclosure made of very strong, no-flex ¼" textured plastic that houses just about any 10" subwoofer, even subwoofers with very large magnets. All Stealths come with a 10" foam speaker gasket for an air-tight seal. It is available with and without Legacy® audio components: 10" Legacy® subwoofer rated at 500 watts rms, or you can get it with the subwoofer and a bridgeable Legacy® 400 watt amplifier along with an 8-gauge amplifier wiring kit. You can also purchase the pod empty and add your own audio components. Installation hardware and detailed instructions with photos are included with every Stealth.
