The Durango Old Man Emu Lift kit, suspension components are perfect for those who want ride quality over ‘show’ quality. You may find taller or more heavily advertised suspension lifts on the market, but not that ride more comfortably. Our Durango kit has greater load capacity. Nothing is more durable than Old Man Emu. If you truly are looking for the ‘best’ suspension and not just the most popular or one that temporarily sits a bit taller (most lifts sag quickly, not OME), then you have found the very best suspension on the planet for your Dodge.

Old Man Emu does not provide installation instructions for the Dodge Durango kits.
Rocky Road has done the work of producing a complete installation manual for the OME suspension though! The instructions are only available with a purchase of the Durango OME lift from Rocky Road (we unfortunately cannot email them out without a purchase).
No other 4×4 shop that sells Old Man Emu lift kits can or will provide installation instructions for you. Our installation manual can save an our or two on your installation time, which saves money, as well as helps to avoid installation which also cost time and money to sort out. Put another way, ordering the OME kit from any other company will result in higher installation cost… and a nose-down stance. Be wise, buy from Rocky Road.

Durango Pre-ASSEMBLED lifted strut kits!!!
NOW AVAILABLE from Rocky Road Outfitters…. Assembled Durango Struts! Your Durango uses a front strut system.
Sometimes assembling these struts can be challenging to impossible for folks who want a simple Do-It-Yourself home installation, or a faster professional. Rocky Road has the solution! Our kits now come with the option of pre-assembly which makes it so anyone can install the Old Man Emu lift on their own without special equipment.
Please note: Our Pre-Assembly options come with either the stock Jeep strut mount plus our 3/8″ boost spacer, OR our Rocky Road manufactured Dead-Level strut mount system.

PLEASE NOTE: All Old Man Emu kits, sold thru any 4×4 shop leave the front of the Grand Cherokee low. Rocky Road HIGHLY RECOMMENDS our Leveling Trim Packer kit, or our DEAD-LEVEL OME Strut mounts.
— The trim packer kit boosts your front end about 3/8″ to offset the OME nose-down stance.
— The DEAD-LEVEL OME Strut mounts will put your Dodge at a leveled stance with the OME springs. This kit is a whole new strut mount system, replacing the factory strut mounts which are normally used in the installation of any new spring lift.
Other shops don’t have the level of experience we do with Durango and so are unaware of this or ignore it, but the standard OME stance is lower in the front. Pick up our Leveling pieces to help correct this in the Optional Components selection of our purchasing section below.

Note: Factory Tow Package rear shock options refer specifically to the Nivomat Load Leveling system rear shocks. The difference between Nivomat vs Non-Nivomat factory shocks; Nivomat load leveling shocks are larger, approximately 2.5″ (63mm) diameter, Non-Nivomat regular shocks are smaller approximately 2″ (51mm) diameter. Having a tow package does not always garuntee that Nivomat shocks were equipped and vice versa, also it is becoming increasingly popular to convert to Non-Nivomat. The factory upper rear shock stud size, length and bracket design differ between the two and for Nivomat also differ again depending on model year. We do offer regular Non-Nivomat shock mounts for those wanting to convert from Nivomat to Non-Nivomat shocks. Please contact us if you have any questions about this.
