Jeep Commander Control Arms
Jeep Commander control arms help achieve proper alignment specifications and strut position when a Jeep is lifted. The main reason for the upgrade though, is that the stock control arms can and do wear out.
Please note our information below regarding the cheaply made red Chinese kits infecting our market now.
Rocky Road manufactures DOT approved control arms for many Jeeps. You can check out more kits. Please search our website

Stock Commander control arms have fixed Ball Joints on them. WHEN (not if) those wear out, the only fix was to buy all new control arms from your Jeep dealership. Then you will buy them again, and so on. Rocky Road Control arms are a great alternative. They also provide a enhanced strut positioning for the optimal alignment on any lifted Commander or WK Grand Cherokee.
Though not mandatory to achieve factory spec alignment, these great control arm kits can help with alignment on lifted Commanders. The difference in the angle of the mounting plate for the new replaceable ball joints creates a more forgiving control arm for alignment purposes.
Our ball joints have an insane amount of movement range in comparison to stock. The design of RRO control arms puts the ball joint in a neutral position while Jeep is lifted. This eliminates the possibility of the ball joint binding up and guarantees a longer life. Our engineering also allows for easier and more accurate camber alignment by your local alignment specialist.

Rocky Road kits use factory Jeep rubber bushings for OEM guaranteed durability and impact absorption. If you should you ever need to replace them, they can be picked up from a Jeep dealer, or we can supply as well. This is a factory rubber bushing kit. Highest quality system with vulcanized steel sleeves. Other bushings will be polyurethane which don’t have the same lifespan durability. Rubber bushing are more costly than poly, but they also ride more comfortably and flex better. This is why manufacturers use rubber and not a cheaper poly option when they sell vehicles new. Factory rubber bushings are chosen for superior ride comfort, excellent vibration damping, and maintenance-free operation compared to aftermarket alternatives. They are the standard for daily drivers because they absorb road noise and shocks better than polyurethane, ensuring a quiet, plush ride while also reducing wear on suspension components.
Our ball joints are the same as those you find in the Cadillac Escalade. They are stronger than the factory Jeep Commander components. The radial static load rating on our ball joints is also thousands of lbs stronger than the standard Jeep, for a more durable design. The MOOG joints in our kits can also be found around the world in most auto parts stores, and so are an easy exchange when/if the need should ever arise for a replacement.

Rocky Road Commander Control arms have a lifetime guarantee never to bend or dent. If they do, send it back and we will replace the arm for you.
As a result of the extremely heavy duty .25 wall DOM tubing we use on our arms, damage will never happen. Stronger control arms, you can not find. The mounting plate for the ball joints is equally overkill. You cannot harm these control arms. The ball joints themselves are very easily changed out should the need ever arise for servicing.
Rocky Road control arm kits come with the Extreme Duty ball joints from Moog. The kits also come with dust boots from Moog. All are powdercoated in a durable tasteful matte black. The Rocky Road deluxe Commander control arm kits offer the very best components on the planet. The Rocky Road Commander control arms are for the Jeeper that wants only the best with the highest standards for quality and performance.
