The Ubolts in the stock mounting system stick straight down. Basically a catch-all for anyone who takes their trucks offroad. They reduce your truck’s clearance. Also having them pointed down and sticking into harm’s way sets you up for disaster on the trail.
Many is the 4×4 thru the years that had a rock reach up and break off the end of Ubolts. What this means for you is disaster. Your axle is no longer securely fastened to the truck. You’re far from home and totally screwed! Gee… Thanks alot Nissan. No need to fear, Rocky Road has your rescue and prevention plan all wrapped up into this simple little flip kit.
The Rocky Road Ubolt Flip kit takes those ridiculous downward facing Ubolts. We flip them up to the top where they should have come from the factory.
Titan Ubolt kit
Our regular kit provides you with new Ubolts which can accommodate the stock vehicle height. This, up to a 1.5″ block lift in the rear (longer Ubolts for even taller lift blocks are available as a special order and surcharge). We also have longer Ubolts for 2-4″ blocks. Kit comes with new heavy duty Ubolt spring plates. Comes with mounting straps for the Bumpstop. Replaced in its original position right up on top of the springs.
All brackets and plates come finished in a durable black powdercoat finish.
We can’t tell you why the engineers at Nissan made the mistake of designing our trucks with the Ubolts exposed and facing downward, we can help you fix the problem with our simple bolton kit. Kit can be installable (if you wish) with the tires still on the truck and without even having to use a jack. All pieces just bolt right into place with your truck parked securely in the driveway.
