Dobinson’s philosophy is quality and sensibility without complications. Lifts sized such that there are no problems or modifications required to steering, braking, or drivetrain. Nissan Xterra Leaf Spring Detail
- Material Grade: Made using high-grade SUP9 silicon-manganese steel to withstand harsh off-road conditions and heavy utility usage.
- Shot-Peened & Scragged: Each leaf is shot-peened on the tension side and completely scragged to double the expected working life and eliminate early-onset sagging.
- Tapered Leaves: Drawn, tapered, and thinned leaf ends ensure even stress distribution across the entire spring pack.
- Anti-Friction Liners: Fitted with inter-leaf liners at each leaf tip to minimize friction points, yielding a quieter and smoother ride.
- Alignment Clips: High-strength bolt style alignment clips feature nylon insulators and Nylock nuts to eliminate metal-on-metal noise and lateral shifting.
- Military-Wrapped Eyes: Select applications feature military wraps on the main eye for enhanced safety and structural redundancy.
- Two-Stage Leaf Pack: Provides a primary stage for a compliant, comfortable ride when unladen, and a secondary stage that engages progressively as heavy weight or gear is added.
- Flat Axle Seat Area: Creates a flat clamping surface to guarantee a safe, positive axle mount that cuts down localized stress on the spring pack.

- Advanced Heat Treatment: Utilizes electronically controlled furnaces during hot-winding, hardening, and tempering processes to eliminate premature sagging or structural failure.
- Scragging & Load Testing: Every single spring is fully scragged and load tested up to 100% of its operational capacity to completely remove subsequent spring sag after installation.
- Shot Peening: High-intensity surface treatment significantly increases the fatigue life of the steel wire.
- Application-Specific Design: Built specifically for individual vehicle makes, models, and load requirements (such as heavy-duty 4×4 bull bars, winches, or constant rear loads) rather than utilizing generic one-size-fits-all dimensions.
- Micro-Alloyed Steel: Made from state-of-the-art X5K micro-alloyed spring steel for maximum strength and corrosion resistance.
