OME 100 Series Frontier Torsion Bars, Diesel engines
OME 100 Series torsion bars for diesel engines are a high-performance direct replacement for your stock bars, available in a wide range of diameters to allow you to choose the right spring rate for your application. These torsion bars are made with heat-treated aircraft grade alloy steel and centerless ground for vastly improved durability and consistent spring rate.
Our torsion bars typically have a spring rate that is 20% higher than OE bars to provide the proper strength for a heavier bumper and winch.

A torsion bar in a truck is a long steel spring that twists to absorb impacts and support weight. This acts like a coil spring but taking up less space. Commonly used in front suspensions for ride height adjustability and compact design. Instead of compressing, it twists along its axis. Typically one end fixed to the frame, and the other to a control arm. Thus, providing the spring force to absorb bumps and support the vehicle. Torsion bars allow for easy “cranking” or adjustment by tightening a bolt on the torsion key, which raises the front of the truck, making them popular for leveling or lifting.
Anchored Ends: One end of the steel bar is fixed to the truck’s frame, and the other connects to the lower control arm.
Twisting Motion: When the wheel hits a bump, the control arm twists the bar. The bar resists this twisting (torsional resistance) to absorb the shock.
Spring Action: This resistance provides the spring force, returning the wheel to its original position, similar to a coil spring.
Space-Saving: Its compact, straight design saves valuable space in the engine bay for other components.
Adjustable Ride Height: A bolt on the torsion key can be tightened to increase tension, raising the front of the truck.
