Alot of the samurai skid plates on the market use a J-bolt. This is essentially a Ubolt with one leg cut off. Not only is this just a cheesy way to mount a skid plate, the J-bolts are prone to open up over time as you bump and knock our competitor’s skid plates. You end up with a loose rattly chunk of steel under your vehicle that will fall off in time.
