When a jeep is lifted, the axles shift sideways. This is definitely noticeable with lifts at or over 3″. This ‘bar bind’ causes the chassis and axle to continuously “tug” against each other resulting in uneven ride height (side-to-side), chassis / frame misalignment and “roll and yaw”. An adjustable front track bar is your best option, as opposed to using a relocation bracket particularly on the front or in the rear on lifts over 2.5 inches…. since the bar’s arc-of-travel must remain in-sync with the drag link’s arc-of-travel or steering wheel “kick” will result.
Our track bars eliminate these problems by mounting it in the original location and having an adjustable tie rod end to accommodate up to 6″ of lift on Jeeps thru 2006, and 5″ of lift on the newer JK model Wranglers.
What about a Right Hand Drive ZJ Track Bar?

Minimum recommended lift height for the track bars is 2″.

Our kits use a tie rod end which, easily found at any auto parts store. In the event this piece needs, replacement, you can do it quickly and easily from any parts store. Other companies use special tie rod ends, only purchased direct from that company. Meaning, more expensive, and not quick to come by.
All Rocky Road track bar kits come with a lifetime guarantee against denting and bending. We use .25 DOM tubing to build our track bar. Other companies use lighter grade steel. And really no one offers a lifetime guarantee because their kits, simply not built strong enough to offer such a program.
If you’re looking at lower priced kits and debating on the Rocky Road system… consider the features above. Those features do make a difference! If you’re looking at higher prices kit and thinking they are of better quality simply because of the price… that is incorrect. We are able to keep our prices lower because we are the actual manufacturer of this kit. Most 4×4 companies outsource the manufacture of their parts.
